Global colour consultants for Farrow & Ball have inspired striking new colourways for three iconic papers in their latest Reimagined wallpaper collection

Wish to embrace the trend for more dramatic, vivid hues and bolder patterns within the home?

For the first time, individuals from the Farrow & Ball team of colour consultants have nominated new colour combinations for existing wallpaper designs and these are curated in the Reimagined collection. Encompassing a damask, floral and striped print, the wallpapers have been given a fresh lease of life in time for this spring. The final collection includes colour combinations picked from consultants in the UK, North America, France and Germany.

Still made in Dorset, England, home to Farrow & Ball since 1946, their distinctive and inspiring paint colours and finishes are renowned for their depth and complexity, bringing walls around the world to life. Its unique artisanal wallpapers are hand crafted using their own paints and traditional trough and block printing methods to give an exquisite, tactile feel and a seamless look in any space.

The company has been creating luxury paints and wallpapers for many years, following in the footsteps of their founders John Farrow and Richard Ball.

Today, the Farrow & Ball look transforms modern and traditional homes, large and small, inside and out. And this latest wallpaper collection will certainly make your home stand out.

The bold Lotus paper makes an eye-catching feature. Influenced by the Arts & Crafts Movement, the artisanal lotus-flower design, drawn from 19th century French archives, has been given a renewed theatrical twist in inky colourways.

Patrick O’Donnell, international colour consultancy manager, says: "The Off-Black and Brinjal colourway of Lotus works incredibly well in a more formal dining room where the lighting would be much more sympathetic. I wanted the combination to be one of drama and richness to give an almost jacquard weave effect with a subtle but noticeable contrast between the ground and print colour."

The classic English floral pattern Wisteria, inspired by pure silk woven jacquards, captures the warmth of English romance. With the metallic trend remaining an inspiration to brighten up interiors, the three new colour options include an arresting metallic copper arranged with Stiffkey Blue and Black Blue.

The Block Print Stripes papers have been reimagined in sumptuous and unusual colourways. The paper can be hung horizontally, vertically or reversed to create a bolder stripe double the width allowing it to be tailored perfectly to the room.

Charlotte Cosby, Head of Creative at Farrow & Ball tells Living:

"This spring Farrow & Ball has reimagined three of its most beloved wallpapers in tantalising new colourways, chosen by individuals from the Dorset-based company’s global team of Colour Consultants. The exquisitely tactile papers have been given a fresh lease of life using the Farrow & Ball colour palette."

LOTUS

"Influenced by the Arts & Crafts Movement, the extravagant Lotus paper makes a theatrical statement whether used as a striking feature wall or, for those feeling particularly brave, throughout a room. In the sumptuous new colourways of Setting Plaster and Off-Black, Vardo and Breakfast Room Green and Off-Black and Brinjal, the artisanal lotus-flower design creates a show stopping impression which works particularly well in a hallway or powder room."

WISTERIA

"Inspired by 19th century woven jacquards, Wisteria captures the warmth of English romance with its abundant, trailing design of blossoming flowers. The classic floral pattern has been given a contemporary edge in the new colourways of Ammonite, Light Blue and Churlish Green, Dark Red, French Gray and Churlish Green and Stiffkey Blue, Black Blue and a bespoke copper metallic. The wallpaper is a perfect addition to a master bedroom as the metallic accents glimmer in the changing light."

BLOCK PRINT STRIPE

"Originally launched in 2005, the Block Print Stripe wallpaper is an endlessly versatile design which can be hung in different ways, depending on the look you are trying to achieve. The elegant paper has been updated in the unexpected colourways of Stiffkey Blue, Vardo and Arsenic, Light Gray, Studio Green and Green Smoke and Cromarty, Shaded White and Yellowcake, creating a feel that is timeless with a twist."
