MUSIC AT ST GILES, June 20

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and St Giles House in Wimborne proudly presents a 2018 season of concerts, beginning on June 20 with Paul Lewis piano featuring Haydn's Piano Sonata in C Major; Beethoven's Six Bagatelles Op.126; Brahms' Six Klavierstücke Op.118 and Haydn's Piano Sonata in G Major.

VINTAGE BICYCLE RIDE, June 23

Indulge your nostalgia for days gone by with the annual Wimborne Minster Vintage Bicycle Ride, held in conjunction with the VDub at the Pub Festival, from June 22 to 24, celebrate a day of vintage clothing, makeup, hair and bicycles. Wearing your best vintage and tweed, you will set out from the VDub at the Pub Festival for a ride, stopping for a tea/ginger beer at a local pub before returning to the festival for a cream tea and a barn dance. The event raises money for Dorset & Air Ambulance as well as participating in Bike Week.

JAMBHALA, June 26

A light-hearted, multi-sensory and interactive family show, Jambhala features live music and the opportunity for audience volunteers to play small parts in the show.

This is a fund-raising performance at Lighthouse, Poole, for The Yak Pack Theatre Project, who are taking this Theatre-in-Education performance to schools and villages in the Indian Himalayas this summer.

DAN SNOW, June 28

An Evening with the ‘History Guy’ will feature the well-known historian, broadcaster and BBC TV presenter Dan Snow recount anecdotes of memorable experiences from his very successful career.

Dan will also research and include historical facts relating to the Regent in Christchurch, where the evening takes place, and the surrounding area and region and will be aided by the use of digital screens. The show will conclude with a 20mins Q&A.
