A MAN has appeared in court in connection with an alleged attempted burglary at a Bournemouth church on Easter Sunday.
The 53-year-old man from Bournemouth appeared before Poole magistrates on Wednesday.
He is yet to enter a plea to a charge of attempted burglary.
The defendant will next appear before Bournemouth Crown Court on June 13.
An incident was reported to have occurred around 6.45pm on Easter Sunday, April 21, at the Corpus Christi Church in Boscombe. A man was reportedly seen trying locked doors and covering CCTV cameras with a bag. Dorset Police say damage was caused to an internal door but nothing was taken from the church.
Following a CCTV appeal a 53-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted burglary.
