Set in the woodland area of a walled garden, among trees and wildlife, this new spa is a magical addition to The Eastbury Hotel.

Opened just last month, the Woodland Spa is tucked into a leafy corner of the luxury venue's garden, housing a boutique spa with two treatment rooms – including a couple's therapy area – hydrotherapy pool, sauna and couple's steam room, an exercise area and private relaxation space both indoors and outdoors. Guests can also enjoy a mini gym, outdoor couple's hot tub and an extensive range of Caudalie and Amelia Rose treatments.

The quirky and enchanting building was designed by a team or architects and designers who worked closed with owners Peter and Lana de Savary, following the success of their Beach Huts and boutique Spa at the sister hotel, Cary Arms & Spa in Torquay.

The Woodland Spa is built from local stone, complete with a sedum and moss roof and a circular doorway. It follows the introduction of five new dog-friendly Potting Shed Garden Suites. Located discreetly within the landscaping of the garden while preserving the integrity of the historic brick garden wall and taking inspiration from traditional English Victorian Potting Sheds, the rooms were unveiled this summer to offer guests the opportunity for guests to fully immerse themselves in the hotel gardens. The suits feature private terraces, fire pits, sedum roofs and tasteful interiors.

However the spa is also open to local residents, with several half-day packages on offer to allow clients to linger and enjoy the space.

The hotel believes the spa will enhance the overall experience for guests, and to create "a serene little pocket of calm", while also offering the luxury of the ultimate indulgence.

A full treatment menu is available including facials, deep tissue or full body massages and other treatments and the spa is open daily between 9am and 6pm, with a residents-only session between 11.30am and 2pm. A range of beauty products are also for sale.
