OFFICERS in Bournemouth town centre assisted a vulnerable woman and a man who had collapsed while on patrol.

PCSO Harold and PC Karen offered safeguarding advice and assistance to the woman, while PC Dan was told of the man who had collapsed while he was patrolling Holdenhurst Road on Wednesday, May 1.

He administered first aid, along with response officers, while waiting for the ambulance service to arrive.

The man recovered and did not need any further help.

Beforehand, PC Dan was out in the Lansdowne area as a part of Operation Track.

He visited university students’ accommodation, speaking to members of the public and university security, who told him that things had quietened down recently in terms of issues.

PCSO Harold also spoke to students, giving a safety talk alongside fraud protection officer Damian.

PC Dan visited St Paul’s BCHA and spoke to staff and residents, and went into local businesses including the Job Centre, whose security told him they had been ‘remarkably busy’.

He then patrolled around the Asda carpark, railway and coach station in Bournemouth.

PC Paul was on foot patrol in the town centre, too, targeting crime hotspots.

He reported that he received a lot of positive feedback from the student population and was given tips on photography from a passing journalism student.

PCs Mike and Justin were called to assist with an incident in Christchurch and helped respond to a missing person found in the town centre.
