AFC BOURNEMOUTH head coach Andoni Iraola believes there are no fresh injury concerns heading into Sunday’s clash with Brighton.

Cherries ran out 1-0 winners in midweek away at Wolverhampton Wanderers, with three days between their next Premier League fixture at home to Brighton (2pm).

Whilst Milos Kerkez will definitely miss out after his red card against Wolves, Cherries unsuccessful in their appeal to overturn the three-match suspension, Iraola believes there are no fresh issues heading into the game.

The Basque boss is not expecting any returnees from injury, with Marcus Tavernier, Luis Sinisterra, Chris Mepham, Ryan Fredericks, Romain Faivre, and Tyler Adams all still out.

Asked if there were any new injuries after the Wolves game, Iraola replied: “I'm thinking, but I don't think so.

“It's true that a couple finished with some knocks, but it's not muscle injuries.

“So I suppose they will be able to recover.

“But yes, we are dealing with a couple of players that finish with some issues.”

Cherries’ victory on Wednesday came in their final midweek clash of the season, with the side facing their final quick turnaround of the campaign ahead of the Brighton game.

Bournemouth will have an extra day’s rest over their upcoming opponents, Brighton having lost 4-0 at home to Manchester City on Thursday night.

“I hope we can recover well, at least we have one more day than we had against Wolves,” continued Iraola.

“I think it makes a difference to have three days instead of two.

“But it's not a big one - we had one less against Wolves, we were better.

“We had even more time against Villa - they beat us.

“So at the end this is not really very meaningful, but I always prefer to have one more day and be more ready.”

Heading into Sunday’s game 10th-placed Cherries are one place above Brighton in the Premier League table, one point above the Seagulls who have played one game fewer.
