ANDONI Iraola felt his AFC Bournemouth side put Arsenal “under pressure” during the second half of their 3-0 loss at the Emirates.

So far this season, Cherries have only failed to score away from home on two occasions – with both games ending in 3-0 defeats.

Away at Goodison Park Cherries lost out to Everton, whilst on Saturday at Arsenal they felt they had scored before Antoine Semenyo’s goal was ruled out for a perceived foul on David Raya.

Asked about his side’s away performances, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “We’ve been dangerous normally on the road.

“We've scored goals, but we've also received a lot of goals.

“I think they've been quite open games when we've played away.

“It wasn't the case today in the first half, but I think we've had our chances in the second half.

“I prefer much more the performance of the second half because I felt okay, we can receive goals, but we've been dangerous and there was one moment where for sure they were feeling the pressure.”

Cherries’ final away day of the Premier League season coincides with the end of the campaign, with Cherries finishing the 2023/24 season away at Chelsea on Sunday, May 19.
